Local Olympia urban farmers are opening their homesteads for a public walking tour on Saturday, August 7th from 10am – 4pm. Orginized by Sustaibible South Sound the free self-guided tour of seven sustainable urban homesteads highlights edible landscapes, vegetable gardening, raising chickens in an urban setting, solar power, composting systems and rainwater catchment systems.
